KELOLAND Media Group PSA Criteria
- A PSA is a message that informs or educates the public about a topic of public importance with no intention or implication of selling something.
- Spots that either increase awareness of or solicit help for a non-profit agency or not for profit organization
- Spots that clearly promote a local free event where free, helpful services are provided to the community.
- KELOLAND Media Group may opt to put a station logo on a PSA at our discretion.
Types of PSAs / Scheduling
- Some PSAs are produced in-house as part of an agreement with community events we sponsor or nonprofits we have partnerships with
- Other PSAs are run as part of commitments to the FCC, NAB, South Dakota Broadcasters Association, and other organizations per arrangements through our GM or Nexstar Inc.
- PSAs are scheduled based on airtime availability and are selected/run at the discretion of KELOLAND Media Group. Placement and frequency are not guaranteed unless paid and booked as a commercial
- External PSAs are ones sent in by clients, agencies, or other 3rd party organizations
- External PSA may not be considered when on air inventory is reduced.
- PSA requests must be submitted for consideration at least 3 weeks prior to intended air date
