2) If a spot or paid program needs to have Closed Captioning inserted into the media file, a .scc must be provided with the spot in order to correctly display captioning. This file will be combined with the media file during transcode.
3. When loading your spot to your FTP location:
- Please name the file with a unique ISCI code (example – KFC-0211)
- Indicate if spot is HD or SD
- Spots must be sent independently as a unique file.
- Spots must include slate information and must begin and end on black.
- KELOLAND is not responsible for errors of spots without identifying information.
4. KELOLAND will not use or download any third-party software in order to receive media.
5. KELOLAND reserves the right to limit file size of downloads. Spots should be reasonably sized.
6. Spot will be deemed "unacceptable-for-air" if video/audio does not meet KELOLAND and FCC standards. Agency will be responsible to correct it or supply the media using an alternate method. KELOLAND encourages first time advertisers to send a test spot in advance of first airing.
7. Media received is for use by KELOLAND only. Charges will apply for dub or transfer requests to other stations or agencies. Written traffic instructions should be sent to Traffic@keloland.com and SiouxFallsTraffic@Nexstar.tv.
8. KELOLAND Stations’ HD capabilities:
- End viewers’ pictures may vary widely depending on their settings and equipment used to watch KELOLAND TV. Visual examples are available upon request.
- HD commercials will run in HD on KELO, KDLO, KPLO, KCLO, UTV and CW +.
- On cable systems that rebroadcast KELO and offer a premium HD package, local commercials will be aired in HD. On cable systems that rebroadcast KELO and only offer one tier subscription in SD, local commercials will be aired in SD – and the cropping is dependent on the cable company’s equipment.
- On DishNetwork and DirecTV in Eastern and Western KELOLAND, spots will air in the format they run from KELO or KCLO – the spot will be fed to Dish and Direct head-ends in the same format as from off-air.
- DishNetwork and DirecTV subscribers must have an HD-compatible receiver and in-home equipment to watch HD.
